The response to the MG Deck Design Comp was overwhelming and the standard of the entries was awesome across the board! We had a total of 181 entries, with entrants from all over the world submitting designs, including Australia, USA, Chile, Indonesia, Iran and New Zealand. The entrants spanned all categories, some were graffiti artists, some weren't, some were Photoshop gurus, some preferred pencils and textas, some were male, some were female, some were older, some as young as 10. Even a primary school got on board and ran the competition as a class project!
Originally we were only going to put the top 20 or so designs on the website, but the quality of the entries made it not only impossible to decide on the top 20, or even 50, but the standard was so high, with so much effort being put into designs, that we couldn't bring ourselves to cut any from the final gallery!
Thanks again to everybody who took part, and especially Ironlak, without their generous sponsorship the competition may not have been such a success! Keep your eyes peeled for next design comp!!

Well it's finally here, the second competition to be held by MelbourneGraffiti.com. This time, you are invited to unleash whatever creative ideas you like on a skateboard deck template, for your chance to win part of an Ironlak spray paint stash valued at over $1,200!
There are no restrictions on what you can design. This time there is even more scope for creativity, as you can choose to download the template suitable for your area of expertise. For example, those that are computer-based design gurus, download the Illustrator or Photoshop files, you should know what to do with them. For those that aren't so great in the digital realm, download and print out the .pdf below on A4 paper, then sketch on it, draw on it, paint it, do whatever you like to it, just make sure you can fit it back under the scanner to send us a high quality image of your work.
Ironlak have agreed to ship the prize packs below not only Australia-wide, but overseas to North & South America, Canada and New Zealand. This opens up the competition to those countries as well. Entries will still be accepted from other countries, but entrants will not be eligible for delivery of prize packs.
Designs will be posted on the site once the competition closes, at which point the ten best will be short-listed, the winners selected with the help of our panel of judges.
